Time for some fab fifties fashion from the Vintage Fair. This was the era of rock and roll, Teddy Boys and the dance hall - skirts got shorter, hair got bigger, and Elvis ruled. This is one of my favourite periods, particularly in interior design - so I've used lots of wonderful furnishings from Artilleri as backdrops for these photos - taken at home on my little island.
Icing have come up trumps with their Just Swing dress, a beautifully textured polka dot dress in a variety of colours - perfect for everything from cocktails to a full on rock and roll party!

I had some fun with the second photo - Not the Perfect 1950's Housewife - enjoying a sneaky cigarette and a beer while curling my hair and pretending to do the ironing. As well as the Just Swing dress from Icing, this time in blue, I'm wearing Maggie tattoos from Artilleri. Furnishings and home accessories are also from Artilleri.
The Vintage Fair ends on Saturday 3rd December - so get there soon so you don't miss the amazing array of retro and vintage goodies on offer! I just dropped by, and it was quieter and less laggy than it was during the first week, so now's the time to go.
