Vintage Fair ~ the 1930's

More retro glamour from the Vintage Fair - this time evoking the 1930's era. In the 30's skirts became longer again, and waistlines returned to their natural position, with an emphasis on womanly curves. The separation between day and evening wear became more pronounced, as did the influence of the cinema on fashion. Synthetic fabrics became available, and the zipper was introduced. This was the period that Art Noveau and Art Deco reigned.

For this look I used the wonderful silk cocktail dress from the Sea Hole, accessorised with deco influenced jewellery from Finesmith and retro hair from MADesigns, all available form the Vintage Fair. I love the palette of creams, beiges and black, and the way the dress softly skims the body before flaring at the hemline - a wonderful feminine look.

Here's your taxi to the Vintage Fair.

It's busy, so it's laggy - you can help by wearing as few attachments as possible and removing scripts.
