I braved the lag and made it into Culture Shock, one of the 3 big charity shopping events starting this weekend. Organised by Chic Management, Culture Shock brings together 80+ designers who have produced exclusive items for sale in aid of Medecins Sans Frontieres, the international, independent, medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, healthcare exclusion and natural or man-made disasters.
Like any big event in Second Life, you will have to be ready to face some lag when you attend - so strip off those primmy attachments and get your scripts down to the bare minimum - but if you can cope with waddling around in a bikini (and let's face it, most people won't be able to see you anyway!) it's well worth it, with some great stuff available from familiar names, and some new (to me at least) designers to discover.
