Faster Pussycat!

I had so much fun styling with Faster Pussycat for a challenge this afternoon, and then I went and got the time wrong and missed it! Still, I had a wonderful afternoon spit-roasting a chicken on an open fire in the garden, indulging in a glass or two of Pimms, and enjoying the company of my partner on a lovely sunny summer day. And I got a cute pic of the outfit anyway, so c'est la vie!

I've gone for a touch of the super-vixen here with sky high strapped white leather boots, lime green tutu, booty shorts and halter bandeau top, all from Faster Pussycat. You may have noticed I have a bit of a thing for big hair - and for the wildest, poofiest, most extravagant gravity defying tresses I would always go to 3636. This is Gigi in platinum, just wild! The super-cute multi-colour nails are from Mstyle.

still so vain

More  gorgeousness from Tabata Jewell with these braided styles - the fun and frivolous Juicy, shown above, and the altogether more sophisticated updo, Gizcious, shown below, available at Vanity Hair.

Sheer Vanity

Bolena hair in Blond Essence by Vanity Hair worn with Layla skin from Glam Affair; no alpha lashes from Miamai, and beads from Lagyo.

A couple of weeks ago a message appeared in the Vanity Hair  Flickr group suggesting a photo contest would be a good idea...Tabtata Jewell, the creator of the immensely successful Vanity Hair has responded. The contest features releases from the recent Hair Fair.

I'm a long time fan of Vanity Hair since I discovered it back in 2009. Designed for runway and photography, Vanity Hair was radically different from anything I'd seen before - in what seemed like a sea of prim laden, alpha heavy flexi hair that bounced all over the place when you moved and disappeared if you stood anywhere near a window or a tree, Vanity Hair was a breath of fresh air. Huge masses of sculpted corkscrew curls, soaring updos, cute crops, funky afros - Vanity has them all - unique, dramatic, stylish and chic. If I'd been rich enough I would have bought the company (not that it was ever for sale). As it was, I just bought lots...and I mean LOTS.

These are the first 3 of my entries for the Vanity Hair contest, it's been great fun styling for such bold hairstyles - and for one collection to inspire so many distinct looks is a testament to the creativity and originality of the designs. There are some wonderful entries in the Flickr group set up specifically for the contest - well worth a look here.

Summer heatwave

It's time to cool off with some of secondlife's hottest swimwear.

First up is the gorgeous denim one-piece - Greta in Light Blue from Miamai, which I've paired with a sexy off the shoulder tied denim shirt from The Sweetest Goodbye, who are currently holding a half price closing down sale.

The funky wooden wedge sandals are Misha in Stand Out from Lelutka, and the jewellery is all from Mandala. I've modified the wonderful Tatoom hair from Vanity Hair to make the scarf match the denim of the swimsuit.

Next up - nothing better to show off that hot tan than a pure white bikini that is anything but virginal! I picked up this one - Adriana from the Lelutka Outlet Store which has just reopened carrying a good range of previous season's clothing at reasonable prices. Adriana comes with a sculpted top and bows in Leltuka's usual fine quality - the top needed very little editing on me - though those whose avatars are more generously endowed up top will need to do a little tweaking to make it fit. I know boots aren't really beachwear, but when I set my eyes on these gorgeous Curvaceous Boots in white by Gos in last week's Fifty Linden Friday's offerings I just couldn't resist. I've accessorised with Milky Way jewellery from Mandala and Electra Sunglasses from Solar.

In both photos I'm wearing Mary skin in medtan from Glam Affair.

In the background of the picture below you will see my gorgeous new contemporary beach house from Scarlet Creatives - they have recently closed their sim and moved their whole retail operation to the Secondlife Marketplace with all their prefabs and furniture now at AMAZING prices - if you're in the market for a new home check out their store now! Scarlet Creatives Marketplace Store.

Seldom blue....

This is the opulent Aurina Elegant Blue gown from Delia Auer's Nizhi store. Coming with a variety of options, including a gold mesh grid jacket, sleeves in satin, chiffon or gold mesh that can be work together or singly, and 2 skirt options, the full ballgown skirt with a gorgeous bow at the waist (shown) or a sculpt flexi option for lower lag  - this is the perfect gown for a dance date in a romantic ballroom - just right to swish the night away! The outfit also comes in red. You can buy it at Delia's Nizhi store and healing centre, where you will also find a chackra immersion and meditiation centre with particle crystals and druidic caves - Use this link to take you to the Nizhi Store and Healing Centre

A gown like this needs simple accessories. I'm wearing "I Love You" necklace and earrings in gold and white from Gems & Kisses and Milky Way nails and rings in sun gold from Mandala - this set, in 3 colour ways is currently on special offer on the SecondLife Marketplace.  My hair is Angelina from Bliss Couture, and the dramatic eye makeup and lashes are Light and Shadows - Kandinsky from Tableau Vivant.
